Duane "Generalissimo" Patterson
It was back in May, 1995, when KKLA 99.5FM afternoon host Warren Duffy called Duane and offered him a job producing his program. "Am I qualified," was the reply, to which Duffy sealed the deal by saying, "You are as soon as I teach you." Now entering his 30th year of professional broadcasting, Duane Patterson brings a set of skills and life experiences to podcasting that make the news enlightening, fun, maddening, and revealing, often times in the same show.
As the senior producer and primary guest host of the nationally-syndicated Hugh Hewitt Show, Duane has built relationships with Senators, members of Congress, and senior administraiton officials, but also with key staffers, as well as colleagues throughout media.
Duane pens a twice-a-week column at HotAir.com, and co-hosts a Friday video podcast called, "The Week In Review" with Ed Morrissey.
Duane just concluded his 46th year of service of umpiring at his local Little League in Southern California, and when not doing radio or podcasting, can usually be found pedaling on a bike trail somewhere around Orange County with his amazing wife, Joy.
